Welcome to Budget Leashed! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our web-based budgeting platform, available at www.budgetleashed.com ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before using the platform.

1. Overview

Budget Leashed provides digital tools for budgeting, expense tracking, income planning, reminders, and reporting. Our platform does not connect to your bank accounts. All financial data is entered or imported manually by you.

2. Account Registration

To use Budget Leashed, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide a valid email address and create a secure password
• Keep your login credentials confidential and secure

You are responsible for all actions taken under your account.

3. Subscription & Payment

Budget Leashed operates on a subscription basis and offers a 30-day free trial for new users. After the trial period:

• You will be billed according to your selected plan (monthly or yearly)
• Subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law
• You may cancel your subscription anytime through your account or customer portal

Payments are securely processed by Stripe. We do not store payment details on our servers.

4. Data and Privacy

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the platform. Budget Leashed will never sell your information. Our handling of personal and financial data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or interfere with the platform’s code or functionality
• Share your account or provide unauthorized access to others
• Use the Service in a way that may harm, disable, or impair system performance

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Service Availability

We strive to ensure continuous and reliable access to the Service. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Occasional maintenance or unforeseen issues may temporarily affect access. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of scheduled downtime.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your user settings. Upon deletion:

• Your subscription will be canceled immediately
• All associated personal and financial data will be permanently deleted
• Data recovery after deletion is not possible

We may terminate or suspend access to your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Budget Leashed is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not financial advisors and do not provide investment or tax guidance.

You are solely responsible for decisions made based on data presented within the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the twelve (12) months preceding the event.

9. Modifications to the Service or Terms

We may update, modify, or discontinue certain features of the Service at any time. If material changes are made to these Terms, we will notify you by email or via in-app message. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which Budget Leashed operates, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
