Welcome to Budget Leashed! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our web-based budgeting platform, available at www.budgetleashed.com ("Service").

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Budget Leashed LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Texas ("Budget Leashed", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

1. Overview

Budget Leashed provides digital tools for budgeting, expense tracking, income planning, reminders, and reporting. Our platform does not connect to your bank accounts. All financial data is entered or imported manually by you.

2. Account Registration

To use Budget Leashed, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide a valid email address and create a secure password
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and secure

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscription & Payment

Budget Leashed operates on a subscription basis and may offer a free trial for new users. After any trial period:

  • You will be billed according to your selected plan (monthly or yearly)
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account or customer portal

Payments are securely processed by Stripe. Budget Leashed LLC does not store your payment information on its servers.

4. Data and Privacy

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the platform. Budget Leashed LLC does not sell your personal or financial information. Our data practices are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or interfere with the Service or its underlying systems
  • Share your account credentials or provide unauthorized access
  • Use the Service in a manner that could harm, disable, or impair platform performance

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Service Availability

While we strive to provide reliable access to the Service, Budget Leashed LLC does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, or unforeseen circumstances.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your user settings. Upon deletion:

  • Your subscription will be canceled
  • Your data will be permanently deleted
  • Data recovery after deletion is not possible

Budget Leashed LLC may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. Budget Leashed LLC is not a financial advisor and does not provide financial, tax, or investment advice.

You acknowledge that all decisions made using information from the Service are made at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Budget Leashed LLC’s total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Budget Leashed LLC in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Modifications to the Service or Terms

We may update or modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. If material changes are made, we will notify you via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
